The Zaccaria portable whiteness meter, model MBZ-P, has been specially developed for making the rice processing control and standardization easier, providing much more agility to the currently adopted method. Today, whiteness meters are installed on a fixed location, and samples have to be brought to them to be measured. In such process, depending on the distance and the number of sampling points, the response time for process adjustment increases considerably thus compromising the standardization and quality of the final product.
